The Empire's Hankering?: Google and Motorola Mobility

The news that Google bought the Motorola Mobility struck the IT world. American experts mostly signaled positive reactions about Google’s acquisition of Motorola Mobility. But, in my viewpoint, Google should have remained software-centered company, and should have cooperated with excellent manufacturing companies like Korean or Taiwan ones.

Following Apple’s smartphones, if Google also makes smartphones, the IT world would be thrown into the one of complex theories which can not be figured out and managed by human strategies. Outside the U. S. it is doubted that the fewer companies of the U.S. are governing the information world, simultaneously contents and hardware.

The super-leveled companies and countries like Apple, Google, MS, the U.S. and China, should not seek the monopolistic, vertical works. If the super eats out all of pie, the span of prosperity would be short. The typical example is Japan. As a result, Japan has no creativity like the U.S. and Japan’s manufacutring qualities and efficiencies are being overtaken by ones of the developing countries.

It should be understood that Globalization means the harmony of coexsitence and competiton rather than the survival games among the players and countries.

The old strong countries have fantasy about the super position like in the Imperial Age. But the super position of the few resulted in tremendout sacrifices of many countries. It is believed that the history has progressed, despite undulating movements of the advance and retreat. The God and global ecoeconomy will not permit the unjustice of the past Colonial Age.

Internet is a gift of the God to humans, so ICT companies must not seek excessive monopolistic power and profits beyond common grades recognized by the global citizens. (The end)

Young Koreans Seem to Like a Soft Boss

Moon Jae-in, Former Chief of Presidential Secretary, is rising as a powerful Presient candidate. This month his poll rates outstriped Sohn Hak-gyu, a long candidate and present representative of the first opposition party. Mr. Moon persistently said that he would not enter the political arena. But, in front of Park Kun-hae, a strong racer of the ruling party, he is forced to be an alternative of the progressive opposition, not caring what he thinks of.

Moon was the closest confidant to late President Roh Moo-hyn and is now heading the Roh Moo-hyn Foundation. His poplularity is ‘hot’ among younger generations. He looks amateurish, unpolluted, soft. He doesn’t seem to oppress the youngsters’ opinions. He doesn’t seem to yell at his subordinates or staff, “Shut up!”

He has a gentleman image and former military man of special forces and lawyer. It is also a popular point that he is not a graduate of prestigious universities. In Korea, the public dislike school elites, because they think that small graudates of the three presigious universities (Seoul, Yonsei, and Korea Universities) monopolized the powerful positions.

As that might be the way it is, present President Lee Myung-bak and former Presidents Roh Moo-hyn, Kim Dae-jung are commercial high schoolers. Roh and Kim even didn’t go to college. Korean people absolutely do not recognize noble blood because almost everyone of Koreans think that they could become noble persons if efforts meet with luck.

In my opinion, It is thought due to appropirate Presidents at right times that Korea has made economic flourishment and reached the same level of democracy as the original West. According to people, the evaluations of the successive Presidents since 1960s would be varied. But It is thought that the Presidents did their best during their given terms. To Korean people, it is undoubtedly very good luck.

In the past Koreans wanted a strong leadership like military man. The typical President is Park Jung-hee from general. Then Korean people wanted democratic Presidents, and the latest time selected the ‘economic’ President. Now younger generations seem to call for soft, reasonable, for-the-middle-people President.

Who Does the God Use Today?

Now the ailing economy of the U.S. and Europe are putting the world into high tension. What if the advanced countries have no solutions! What could the rest of the world do?

As it may be an overdue saying, the West (the U.S. and the western Europe) society has been diseased deeply for the last half century. The West is religiously Christianity. Most Westerners do not go to church nowadays. Some say that the people of the U.S. exceptionally go to church more than the Europeans. At the present time, I feel deceived of the figures of the America’s church attendance rates.

In a viewpoint of the Easterners, it is really difficult to understand the same gender marriage and family disruption even though we are obliged to recognize all kinds of flourishing crimes. It seemed that the humans negated self-existence themselves.

The Westerner have already seemed accustomed to their moral hazardness, though in the third sight it is solidly clear.

Niall Campell Douglas Ferguson attributed the Western dominance over the rest world to six factors, “competition”, “science,” “democracy”, “medicine”, “consumerism”, “work ethics.” He said that because the rest world came to know the six factors the West finished its superiority.

As a journalist of the East, the British historian is not accurate on describing the present situations and seems to make the mistake of hasty generation. Japan, the most excellent student of the West, is situated far away from the full-blown democracy. Japan is a sort of elites cartel society, hereditary politicians, high posted bureaucrats gripped by a few of prestigious universities graduates, big corporate CEOs, and owners of major news media groups. So, Japanese competition is different from the western standards. Maybe the only thing that the East pursue earnestly is “science”. In Eastern countries, medicine is mixed with traditional pseudo-medicine.

South Koreans are said the most diligent workers. It is a little exaggerated story. They spend too much time in their work places, however their working time is not so long. The authoritarian work culture is still delaying the corporate persons’ closing hours. The East work ethics is a superficial showcase distanced from Calvinism.

In summary, in learing the six factors of the West, the East are toddling. Moreover, the Eastern developing countries are stepping down on the failing roads of the West rapidly. Therefore, it is nonsense that the East will overtake the West soon. Even though it might happen, the Eastern prosperity would be a very short span compared with the Western blooming times.

Chinese culture is traditionally human-centrism and world-centrism, so they are easily trapped in self-haughtism. Chinese people should know the God like Christianity. In East, the three strong countries, China, Japan, and India, have denied the God. To the people and nations that do not revere the God, the glory would be short and suffering should be long.

If the West do not recover their faith and Calvinism, they would relish humiliation. In my opinion, it would be the fastest way that the West restore their faith, in order to save the world and global economy.

Who knows? Who does the God use as his agent in the 21st century? The West again? Or the Eastern Asia, the south America, or Africa? The God will select a people or country, because he will not leave the human complete pains. (The end)

The Actuality That Game Companies Don't Say About

A former game company’s CEO, 40 years old, published a book that informs of game’s harmful effects. The title is “The Truth That Game Companies Don’t Tell Our Children.”

He shut down his firm when he has a son. He said that he coundn’t continue the game company conscientiouly, thinking of his son.

He tested himself in order to experience game addictions for 5 months. After being addicted to football game, he felt dizziness behind playing the game. He was tempted to kick something unconsciously. Since lapsing 4 months, he was very nervous if not playing once a day. Even severe pains took him by both wrists and neck.

Finishing the testing, he made a desperate effort to stop the dependency. He studied Chinese language, went hiking regularly, read books and newspapers, to deviate hinself from the craving for games..

He stressed that the best way is not to start the game. He said firmly, “It is a sheer lie that gaming is helpful to brain development and reaction improvement.” “Rather, gaming makes people’s stress and emotional adjustment worse.”

This year, a big game company in Korea founded a professional baseball team. The baseball league is the most popular game compared with football and volleyball. Maybe the company’s intentions would be to promote and especially vindicate game business publicly.

The National Assembly introduced a new strong game-regulating law called ‘shut-down system’, which do not permit online game after 12 o’clock midnight. Surrounding the passage of the bill, there were war-like debates between the bill initiator, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, and antagonist, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The entertainment, sports, and IT news media criticized against the bill. The other most news media showed double attitudes, which are they indicated the damaging to children’s mentality, however, did not express their opinions about the bill. It is guessed because the game industry is a considerable advertiser. The thing that raised people’s eyebrows is a part of entertainment, sports, and IT news media expressed an emotional, hysterical protests against the bill more than the game companies themselves. Their argumental tones in their articles and columns made the public, especially almost parents angry. The media’s logic seems really childish and blind like game-addicts, and they truly looked one-sided ‘lovers’ towards the advertiser, the game companie. (The end)

The True Causes of England Riots

England vandalism swept across the capital and Island. Why? In outside sight, the causes are very simple and clear.

It happened the government that had given lazy youngsters ‘free bread’ announced to stop it. There is no better place to live in like Britain. Britain has the highest wealfare system in the world. We don’t understand the rioters. Now many Asians and Africans are struggling to survive with little wealfare supports. I feel angry about them. They are worthless louts to Britain and the earth.

The British government and police do not need to give them any sympathy. They shoud be punished sternly and made corrections. In the developed countries, rioters are simply criminals, I heard one fifth of pupils leave illiterate. It is because the school, family, and society have no discipline and order. They have no excuse for their lootings. As a matter of fact, wrong humanitarian theories of social scientists have grown the rioters with indulgence.

I saw 10 explanations in BBC why the riots happened. I paid attention to Cristina Odone’s explanation that the riots could be traced back to a lack of male role models. Her analysis is persuasive.

Humans are activating by family love and, also are being forwarded by sound dreams. British couples divorced almost routinely and many people deserted the faith of the God. Britain should recover faith, morality, and discipline. (The end)

The Dangerous S&P's Evaluation

In the global society are two ‘uncontrollable’ powers, the three credit rating agencies and news companies.

As is well known, the UN is ‘always-polite grandfather.’ The EURO which expected to be progressed to the world government is tumbling due to the economic crisis of the south Europe. In the global world without compelling powers the two ‘guys’ shrewdly exploit and threat many countries other than their own ones such as the US, UK, France, Deutch, and the other western advanced countries. It is because that they are very afraid of the NGOs and their countries.

They were too magnanimous to their own countries because they are jittery about tough NGOs, interest groups and government inside. On the contrary, they were too severe to the Asian new players. As they take much criticism from many countries, they suddenly changed past ‘evil’ image to an ‘objective-masked’ face.

The S&P downgraded the U.S. credit rating for the first time from AAA status to AA-plus, with “negative outlook.” The U.S. raing is lower than the ones of France, Canada, Australia, Sweden, etc. Who believes? The S&P went too farther past the common sense. They showed that they have been a political institution. They thought that their existence is more important than public interest.

Credit assessing to an organization and companies might be possible, but it is absolutely impossible to assess the country.

Let’s look at 5 pillars in the S&P Sovereing Rating Framework:
Institutional effectiveness and political risks, Economic structures and growth prospects, external liquidity and international investment position, fiscal performance and flexibility as well as debt burden, monetary flexibility.

How abstract and ambiguous! The assessment could be arbitraray according to their intention, short insights, and biases. It can be said that they challenge the area of the God. Maybe they use mathematical tools, computer programs, analytic models, etc. As seen plausible, their methods are ‘rubbish.’ The economic phenomena are affected and formed by unimagiable many factors. So some financial analysts and political scientists lacking world experiences are not able to evaluate such great and complex situations.

Above all, the thing itself to evaluate 127 countries is dangerous. The evaluation and results are little helpful to evaluated countries, while enormously helpful to the rating agencies.

Today’s economic recession is rooted in deeper systematic and accumulated contradictions. These contradictions are beyond economic and poltical causes, rather lie in cultural, mental, social-related problems. The S&P downgrade will only lead to worsening the present agonies. The U.S economy needs spiritual, cultural, movemental therapies, not economic policies. (The end)
