From the tragedy came lessons that I could not have learned in any other way. The first lesson that I learned was that God is in control. Nothing happens without his permission. The second lesson that I discovered is that God has a plan for my life. It is a personl plan that is intended just for me. The third thing that I realized was that God will not put more "on" me than he will put "in" me to go through the challenge. He is a heavenly Father who loves us and will not leave us alone when we go through trials and tribulations...this I know, if you turn to God for help during the crisis...he will be there for you and He will be there with you.(One Great Truth, Jonathan Falwell,14-15)
Dear God, thank you for sending trials my way. I know that you love me and that you have a plan and a purpose for my life. I also know that you have a purpose for the trials that I have gone through and the trials that I will face in the future. Give me not only the grace I need to go through the challenge, but also the grace to realize the lessons that you want me to learn. I Jesus' name, amen.
I again realized God's love and plan for me much stronger than some conventional words of wisdom and consolation.
