The Thought that Layoff is a Fresh Starter

The America’s companies mostly begin their changes by layoff when they are in a crisis. I thought that it is too cruel towards employees. But today I suddenly knew that ‘layoff’ could be a strong tool for the first step of innovation and changes.

Seeing the American economy is recovering recently, ‘layoff’ might be a real competitive edge of the American economy. What could make people change to the bone after the adulthood except layoff? Is it layoff, isn’t it?

For example, one long-reputed but now high-browed and laggard company, anyone can easily predict, would be self-exterminated in humiliation.

We Asians do not need to perceive that ‘layoff’ is an immoral thing. In Korea, it is seldom reported that fired employees fired themselves. It is because they thought their company their life itself. In other words they see the company in the sight of morality and empathy.

Good parents hold ‘love’ stick, but bad ones do not and then ruin their children. Korean employees should replace their working places if the employers do not respect them. I believe that the thought ‘Layoff is an opportunity’ can make us change.//
