The 'World Government' That We Can Postpone No Longer

The world economy is too much affected by the ones of the U.S.A., Europe, some new developing countries such as BRICS since 2000s. The world economy of the 21st century is really, bitterly being connected with the globally one networked structure. Every one of Koreans could be affected by the Fed’s decision.

We could avoid this cruel globalization and run away somewhere? Absolutely it couldn’t. Globalization is an outcome of the evolution and development of human civilization. It has been sped up especially by transportation, communications, and information technology containing Internet, at last ‘omni-present’ mobile media.

Globalization is making the world ranging from the advanced countries to the underdeveloped ones flatter to the economic level. All countries of continents except for warring places wholly moved toward the better lives, if there were some negatives. Globalization had let money, factory, and labor flow more freely. The companies of the advanced countries relocated their factories to developing and consuming ones, simultaneously avoiding their fierce unions, high costs, and ‘heavy’ regulations.

The affluent money which does not catch some opportunities and searches for diverse portfolio in any places is invested on the developing ones, which has subsequently enhanced the new chances for wealth.

All things always don’t go well. Recently the negative degree went too far against our expectation. The benefits of globalization have reached the few of the advanced and developing countries, in which there were little trickle-down effects other than in the less-developing ones. In my opinion, every government has done the best in correcting the present inequality, though their approaches are different to solve. However, unfortunately, their efforts did not come to anything.

World leaders should now earnestly discuss the world government. The world government ought to be an organization to have forceful authority and regulations against all nations. The world government ought to be a more evolved form than the present EU. G2, or, G7, or G20 couldn’t deal with the first-faced economic recession accrued from the global economic system.(The end)

Who Coud Adjust To Our Own Greed?

What do you think is the most influential one of the factors to your individual life economy? Is it your firm, or technologies, or the government, or the global workforce inter-relations? Any of these factors could not be less important than the others.

In the half of 20th century the word ‘international’ was spent universally. Now no one refers to the ‘international’, instead, ‘global’ is used generally. ‘Global’ means that all of the country’s markets work as one if imperfect, while ‘international’ carries that all of the country’s markets are divided by every other borders. Of course, today’s markets work as ‘global’ one.

What is the most conspicuous feature of the advanced countries? It’s the higher unemployment, ironically, like that of the underdeveloped countries. The poor people under the rich countries are becoming the almost same level of the general ones of the poor countries, though the homeless of rich nations should not be starved to death. The unemployment rates of the developing countries are lower than the ones of the developed and underdeveloped countries.

Why? The jobs of the advanced countries moved to the developing and underdeveloped ones for the benefit of their owners, investors, and conservatives.

South Korea which had been free from ‘unemployment’ has also suffered from ‘the unemployment of the young’ since 1997, when they experienced serious economic slump caused by the lack of foreign currencies and conflicts of awarding economic rewards between the owners and unions of several companies.

We human’s greed is breaking down the capital and market economy. What’s clear, it is the fact that the present politicians and institutions aren’t able to adjust our individual greed related the votes and profits. In other words, our people of the free, democratic, capital regime cannot put fetters on ourselves.//

Prayer's Effects

I have thought only that prayer is a 'window' to say my wantings to God and to work miraculously done by God.

I came abruptly to know that prayer itself is to correct our wrong thinkings, repent our sinful acts in the past, swear on walking on the right road, as a result heal our whole health, and ultimately flourish in our works, hopefully, our missions in this given lifetime.

Praying behavior is s gift of God, isn't it?

God Has A Plan for My Life

The first day of this new year I received a few graceful, inspiring words, which are desperately needed at these difficult time of mine.

From the tragedy came lessons that I could not have learned in any other way. The first lesson that I learned was that God is in control. Nothing happens without his permission. The second lesson that I discovered is that God has a plan for my life. It is a personl plan that is intended just for me. The third thing that I realized was that God will not put more "on" me than he will put "in" me to go through the challenge. He is a heavenly Father who loves us and will not leave us alone when we go through trials and tribulations...this I know, if you turn to God for help during the crisis...he will be there for you and He will be there with you.

Dear God, thank you for sending trials my way. I know that you love me and that you have a plan and a purpose for my life. I also know that you have a purpose for the trials that I have gone through and the trials that I will face in the future. Give me not only the grace I need to go through the challenge, but also the grace to realize the lessons that you want me to learn. I Jesus' name, amen.
(One Great Truth, Jonathan Falwell,14-15)

I again realized God's love and plan for me much stronger than some conventional words of wisdom and consolation.

The Thought that Layoff is a Fresh Starter

The America’s companies mostly begin their changes by layoff when they are in a crisis. I thought that it is too cruel towards employees. But today I suddenly knew that ‘layoff’ could be a strong tool for the first step of innovation and changes.

Seeing the American economy is recovering recently, ‘layoff’ might be a real competitive edge of the American economy. What could make people change to the bone after the adulthood except layoff? Is it layoff, isn’t it?

For example, one long-reputed but now high-browed and laggard company, anyone can easily predict, would be self-exterminated in humiliation.

We Asians do not need to perceive that ‘layoff’ is an immoral thing. In Korea, it is seldom reported that fired employees fired themselves. It is because they thought their company their life itself. In other words they see the company in the sight of morality and empathy.

Good parents hold ‘love’ stick, but bad ones do not and then ruin their children. Korean employees should replace their working places if the employers do not respect them. I believe that the thought ‘Layoff is an opportunity’ can make us change.//

Korean Poets' 'Romanticism'

A prestigious journalist interviewed an old poet living in a regional city. The journalist is famous for having been interviewing several persons through very deep inner inquiry and multi-lateral viewpoints over a long period. He is also writer that published his own novel in the past. But at this time my excitement was disappointingly shattered.

The interviewed story written on the full page constituted the old poet’s trifles with hard drinks and complaints towards the central literary circles of Seoul. The person who is said having written poems for 50 years owed his unknown to ‘the status of regional poets’.

What a grumbling about regionalism in the internet age! He appears to say that he should be ‘great’ poet that critics do not know the value of. Nevertheless, he never talked about poetic meaningful themes and creation.

Subsequently he referred to ‘romanticism’, which means ‘hard drinking’ in Korea literary circles. In other words, the poetic world is the one that a drunken poet sees, maybe the drunken world would be ‘romantic’ or ‘fantastic’. Most Korean poets seem to be false admirer for Li Taibo (李太白), who would not be pleased of their inferiority.

He also sneered at flashy knowledge of his poetry teacher, remembering in his literature classes. The reason he do not like his teacher is guessed in his saying context because the teacher explained French poets in class whose poems should have been difficult to understand.

Most Korean poets are so ignorant that they are always singing their home town, drinking hard. A few learned ones are at best ‘uncreative’ adorers of meditation, Nothing.

He might have thought earnest and heavy themes ‘useless’ or ‘meaningless’ in his higher poetry world. If so, he should have refused the interviewing proposal of the reporter. We readers do not want to hear his ‘romanticism’.

Korean pop, music, musical, drama, films, and art are elating their levels globally, at least recognized differentiated and unique places. But Korean literature lingers over a ‘literary youth’. How to be a literary adult:

Firstly, Korean writers must escape ‘infantile’ meditation and void abstract philosophy.

Secondly, Korean writers must not be proud of their ignorance about world literature classics.

Thirdly, Korean writers should leave their home town.

Fourthly, they should not write poems in a mood of alcoholic drinks. (The end)
